1970 Heritage Diver’s Limited Edition. Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, the Seiko Prospex line meets every challenge with technological excellence and style. Part of a rich legacy of innovation in high-intensity timekeeping, Prospex continues to celebrate a long history of sports watch excellence with re-creations and re-interpretations of landmark achievements. Inspired by the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights, with a subtly gradated dial pattern evoking the changing colors of the night sky, this exceptional limited edition is available only in a controlled-production run of 500, with the serial number engraved on each caseback.
Re-interpreting Seiko’s renowned 1970 diver’s watch, a favorite of such daring adventurers as Naomi Uemura, the first person to reach the North Pole solo, this extraordinary timepiece offers updated technology and a durable stainless steel case and bracelet with super hard coating. The caliber 8L35 26-jewel automatic movement, hand-assembled at Seiko’s Shizukuishi watch studio with the increased torque necessary for smooth operation of the enlarged diver’s watch hands, beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours, and provides manual winding capability

SEIKO BRAND STORY
The story of Seiko began in 1881, when a 21 year old entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in central Tokyo. The shop specialises in repairing watches and clocks. Eleven years later, in 1892, Kintaro opened up his manufacturing facility, Seikosha, which primarily focused on producing wall clocks. Fun fact: Seikosha combines the word seiko (成功,) meaning “exquisite” or “success,” and sha, meaning “house” in Japanese. The translation of Seikosha is “exquisite or success house.”
Today, after more than 130 years of innovation, Seiko is able to design and develop all the components of a watch, as well as assemble, adjust, inspect and ship them in-house. Seiko's mechanical watches consist of approximately 200 parts, and the company has the technology and production facilities to design and manufacture all of these parts in-house, Kintaro Hattori’s company is still dedicated to the perfection that the founder always strove to achieve.
WE ARE H2 HUB
The inception of H2 Hub traces back to a visionary idea conceived by James Woo, the second-generation leader of a prominent watch retail chain store in Singapore. The year was 1970 when the idea to create a new space for fine Swiss and Japanese watches to thrive and cater to a broader market was born. The conventional approach of promoting watches through distinguished models in commercial and mundane ways failed to appeal to Woo. He observed that watch brands overlooked the distinctiveness that sets them apart. After all, watches are not just functional timepieces but a reflection of an individual's lifestyle.
This love sparked H2 Hub’s journey into the world of blogging and live streaming, where we want to bring something refreshing, raw and sexy for watch enthusiasts around the world. Something that can be appreciated not just by a 'refined gentleman', but also by the up and coming, image conscious younger generation as well.
In our journey to be a port of call for all watch lovers, H2 Hub has become one of the world’s leading and most trusted online platform for watches. Started since 1970 and now with 6 retail shops in Singapore, we take immense pride in being the official retailer for a carefully curated selection of specialty brands including Casio G-Shock, Seiko and Seiko's Elite Series, Citizen, Tissot, Aries Gold, Garmin, Cath Kidston, BCBG, Luminox, Edox, Alpina, Coach and Ferrari.
