Mathey-Tissot is a Swiss watchmaker of prestige watches, originally established in 1886 by Edmond Mathey-Tissot at Les Ponts-de-Martel in the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. Mathey-Tissot is an independent watchmaker, with its headquarters in Geneva.
Mathey-Tissot initially specialised in "repeteater" watches, timepieces that chime the hour and halfhour. Soon afterward, the company undertook the production of chronographs (stop-watches), crafted with such ingenuity and precision that they were immediately successful.
